Scheduled maintenance window for the Quantum Payment Gateway on Saturday morning, November 14, 2009 at approximately 2AM EST.
Please be advised that on Saturday morning, November 14, 2009 at approximately 2AM EST there will be a scheduled maintenance window for the Quantum Payment Gateway. Unlike most maintenance intervals where there is little or no associated downtime, this particular maintenance window will require some downtime which could span up to several hours. However, this will take place during the time period where there are statistically the least amount of transaction volume.
The good news is that this maintenance interval will put into place the necessary technology to facilitate the launch of Quantum's new backup center facility. This step will allow the Quantum Gateway to automatically fail-over to its backup facility in the event of any outage at the primary facility and both sites will be automatically synchronized at all times.
Upon completion, this will mean that all Quantum merchants will directly benefit from utilizing a state-of-the-art system that has multiple redundancies in place spanning two data centers at completely different physical locations using completely separate network providers. This level of redundancy currently does not exist with most other Internet payment gateways and even a few of the largest have stationed their backup data centers in close geographic proximity to their primary centers instead of staggering them in different locations with different network providers and facilities.
As always, we appreciate your business and your cooperation during this brief upcoming maintenance interval.
Sincerely,
Quantum Payment Gateway
